Hi

I'm trying to get Saiku 2.2 (Release Build) to run on some company computers with IE8.

I have several issues:

  1. On startup, some weird error message complaining about a syntax error in line 1 character 1 of URI http://0.0.0.0 pops up
  2. Folders for measures don't show up
  3. When dragging stuff to the main area, the drag-and-drop doesn't complete, and the dropped object is shown as three slightly displaced objects. This also gives and error in jquery-min at line 17, character 12370.

So, is IE 8 even supported and are there people running it successfully? Any idea where this issues come from? These tests where made with a vanilla installation of saiku-server-foodmart-2.2.

Thanks a lot.

The exact IE errors - sorry they are in german, the jquery message probably translates to "Exception thrown but not catched" or similar:

not sure what the javascript error is, the other one could be because IE8 is running in compatibility mode aka quirks mode that simulates IE7, and IE7 is definitely not supported.

i know some people who use IE8 successfully. its not perfect but it should work mostly

Thanks, I'll check if this is turned on.

Thanks Paul, that was the issue. The checkbox "Display intranet sites in compatibility mode" was set (apparently a default in IE 8), and my installation was classifed as Intranet Site. Unchecking this setting resolved all problems I described above.

glad it worked!
