first off, total mancrush on the product. recently getting into Pentaho and was disappointed with the native analytic tool in the user console.

Q: How can you 'order by' in the result set? Descending order has intrinsic value that I'd like to garner out of this seemingly powerful app.

Regards. L

thanks for the response! i am definitely making a push to use this product, but, yea, definitely can see it's still early development, so, again, I appreciate the response and would like to stay 'up to date' with what is going on with this project.

another 'thing' i could use help with is how to refresh the data set? that may be more of a 'data sources' issue in Pentaho, but basically, my query gets the last 24 hours worth of data (to analyze the previous day), but what if I want to tell Pentaho/Saiku to 'go get new data' (in other words, re-run the query)?

should i add a new topic?

we have like 10 tickets for refreshing the datasource (clearing the cache) already there will be a solution in 2.2 (2.1 should be released next week) if you find any bugs or features missing file it here: http://projects.analytical-labs.com/projects/saiku/issues (please sign up so we know who filed it)

if you're not sure, just file it anyway ... we will go through this every now and then

btw, help (testing, styling, coding, documentation) is always welcome! more hands can get more done

Client-side ordering shouldn't be an issue. I'll add a ticket for 2.2.
